Spider veins are a type of vascular lesion and convey inflamed blood vessels that show through the skin’s surface. They primarily appear on the face and legs. We can perform a minimally invasive procedure called Sclerotherapy that will take 30 minutes to complete. We will inject a solution that will permanently shut down the vessel(s), improving circulation and the appearance of your skin. We can safely treat every moderate to severe spider vein, and it may take a few sessions to ensure we have achieved optimal results. Any additional treatments will be scheduled 6-12 weeks apart. The body regularly makes new vessels, so you may need to visit every 1-3 years for a follow-up procedure.
FAQs
Which areas are treated?
The common areas include small spider veins on the nose, cheeks, and upper and lower legs.
When will I see the results?
Most patients see results a few months after the procedure. You may see significant improvements within two to six weeks after treatment.
How long do results last?
You’ll get permanent results from your spider vein treatment. Once your veins have been closed by the laser procedure, they won’t open, and the veins disappear permanently.
Are there side effects?
Yes. You might get redness, swelling, and altered pigmentation. These symptoms will subside a few days after the procedure. You may use a cold pack on the treated area to alleviate the symptoms.
